Lisa Johnson serves as the Chief Strategy Officer for Compeer, where she leads organizational strategy with a focus on relationship‑building through fundraising, marketing, and mental health education. She is a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor and delivers a range of mental wellness trainings, including Mental Health 101 and Workplace Mental Wellness. With a cross‑sector background spanning more than 20 years in nonprofit and higher education environments, Lisa brings deep experience in volunteer engagement, training facilitation, resource development, and mission‑driven program support. Her work centers on creating accessible, practical learning experiences that help organizations strengthen their cultures of care.
Grounded in a philosophy that meaningful human connection is foundational to both personal wellbeing and organizational success, Lisa approaches her work through a strengths‑based, relational lens. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Elmira College and a Master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Across her career, she has remained committed to equipping professionals, especially those in people‑centric roles, with tools that promote understanding, compassion, and psychologically healthy workplaces.
