The National Human Resources Association has focused on the development of human resources management professionals for more than 70 years. Our local Rochester Affiliate is dedicated to giving back to our community by supporting local nonprofits that work to advance employment opportunities in the Rochester region.
We are pleased to be working with Charles Settlement House and Community Place of Greater Rochester (CSH/CPGR) to support employment-related services in the intellectual and developmental disabilities programs of these affiliated agencies.
· What they do: The dedicated staff of CSH/CPGR help residents with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in the Greater Rochester area gain employment by: matching clients with employers; providing resume preparation support; training clients on the skills needed for on-the-job success; addressing socio-economic barriers to employment including transportation, certifications, and job-related clothing requirements; and ongoing on-the-job coaching support.
· A Win-Win Relationship: Employment provides a sense of pride and independence for clients, and provides a reliable, capable workforce for employers.
