Meet Our Presenter!

Introducing Tom Schin, the high energy owner of Build Better Culture! With almost two decades of experience in HR, recruiting, and management under his belt, he's the go-to guru for organizations that want to create stellar workplaces. Tom's all about helping companies build an insanely awesome company culture, skyrocket employee engagement, and level-up their leadership skills to keep their team jammin’. Whether it's nailing communication skills, embracing accountability, mastering the art of hiring like a boss, or defusing conflicts, Tom's got your back. He’s also President of the Capital Region Human Resource Association where he leads the board in delivering learning, networking and collaboration opportunities to their 550+ member community

Program Description:  Engagement is an elusive topic. Most likely, you fall into one of these camps:

  1. you think your employee engagement is awesome;
  2. you think it needs a lot of work or
  3. it doesn’t have an ROI to make it financially worth investing in.

Sustainable Employee Engagement doesn’t happen on its own though. You have to build it, shape it, mold and nurture it as it continues to evolve. We’ll talk about ways you can weave Employee Engagement training into all aspects of your workforce. Onboarding, Orientation, 30/60/90 day check points, annual reviews, and throughout employee lifecycle through intentional leadership training; as well as how to involve key stakeholders in the process. Rome wasn’t built in a day, neither is a strong employee engagement program.

Program Objectives:

  • Learning Objective 1: Determine where to start with employee engagement in the employee life cycle
  • Learning Objective 2: Build strategies on how to win over resistant managers/employees
  • Learning Objective 3: Build and discuss evaluation tools, how to use them, how often, and what to do with the data
