This program will provide an overview on the legal updates employers should be aware of, including but not limited to the EEOC’s regulations for the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, new restrictions on employers’ use of criminal background checks and employees’ social media accounts, among other relevant updates, best practices, recommendations for employers, and other changes under New York and Federal Law that may be in the pipeline to be aware of for Fall 2024 and beyond.

Katherine S. McClung
Kate is a labor and employment law attorney who counsels employers in a wide variety of labor and employment law matters, including addressing employee absences, accommodation requests, wage issues, employee performance issues, and discrimination/harassment complaints. Kate regularly provides trainings on many employment topics, such as harassment, drug/alcohol testing, and supervisory best practices. Kate also conducts internal investigations into all types of employment-related complaints. Kate regularly handles class actions and individual litigation in state and federal courts and administrative claims before state and federal government agencies.
Stephanie H. Fedorka
Stephanie is a management-side labor and employment attorney, serving clients in both the public and private sector. She advises clients regarding day-to-day labor relations and employment law issues that arise, including assisting clients in navigating the complexities of various state and federal leave laws, wage and hour issues and revising or drafting workplace policies including handbook drafting and revising.
