About this Affiliate

In St. Louis, the NHRA organization, NHRA ST. LOUIS, was formerly known as the Gateway Human Resources Association. We are a dedicated group of professionals from the St. Louis metropolitan region, which encompasses East Central Missouri and Southern Illinois.

NHRA ST. LOUIS has a proud, 50-year history of providing education, enlightenment, professional support and networking for HR professionals from across the St. Louis region. Our membership crosses all business categories, from service to health care, financial, education, manufacturing, government and non-profits. We are an inclusive organization and welcome potential new members to contact us directly.

Monthly Meetings

What - Monthly lunch meetings (Lunch included)
When - Usually the 4th Thursday of the month from September - May, registration begins at 11:30am, meeting begins at 12:00pm and concludes by 1:30pm.
Where - CES AND JUDY'S LOCATED AT: 10405 CLAYTON ROAD in Le Chateau Village

How to Register
- Go to the St. Louis Meetings & Events page (located on left) and click on the appropriate event. Click "register" on the event page and follow the prompts to complete registration.
Cost - $0 for members, $15 for students, $30 for guests. Registration cost is due on or before the start of the meeting and payable by cash or check at the door. Pre-payment is preferred and may be mailed to NHRA, P.O. Box 460532 St. Louis, MO, 63146.

Cancellations / "No Shows" - Click this button [cancel] by noon the friday before the event to email your cancellation. Unpaid “no shows” will be billed.

SPHR/PHR Certification Study Group:
To assist you in your preparation for the PHR or SPHR exam, NHRA has another benefit for its members; the NHRA PHR/SPHR Study Group.  This is a structured support system and educational setting for those members who are interested in pursuing PHR and SPHR certification.

The study group is a Fall session consisting of eleven two-hour sessions that include structured reviews of the study materials, online unit review tests and insights from subject matter experts on each content area.  

Below are the dates and location for the next PHR/SPHR study group... 

Dates:  Thursdays, 10/2/08 – 12/18/08 (excluding 11/27/08 Thanksgiving) 6:00 – 8:00 pm

October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, November 6, 13, 20, December 4, 11 and 18.

Where we will meet:     American Red Cross -National Testing Laboratory, 4050 Lindell, St. Louis, MO  63108

What we will do:   Each two-hour session will include a structured review of the materials, review of unit tests and   insights from a subject matter expert.

Membership in the National Human Resources Association is granted by each location or by the National Human Resources Association Executive Committee without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability or sexual orientation.

Membership dues, as determined by each location, include both local and national membership. Membership dues are typically payable annually on the anniversary date of the effective date of your membership. NHRA-St. Louis membership dues is as follows:

New Members (Includes a one-time $25 application fee)
Regular Member $275
Student Member $50 (application fee waived) plus $15 per lunch fee

Renewing Members (Payable on the anniversary of the effective date of your membership)
Regular Member $250
Student Member $50 plus $15 per lunch fee

Who Qualifies for a Student Membership?

Student membership is available to any student who is currently pursuing a degree part or full time and does not meet the eligibility standards for a regular membership.  With initial application, the student must show documentation (transcript or other verification) of their qualification for student membership. Student members shall have no vote and may not hold elected office. Student members pay reduced National dues. Local dues are set at the discretion of the location. The National Board may limit student memberships. Please note that student memberships are not designed for individuals who are working on a full-time basis and who are pursuing continuing education. They are intended for full-time students working no more than 24-30 hours in a part-time position.
